Come Next Season by Kim Norman, Daniel Miyares

5.0

Children's picture book. As the title implies, this book is an ode to the seasons. A family goes through the year, celebrating which each season brings. They start in the summer, with a visit to the lake and picking blueberries. Fall finds them playing outdoors and filling their pockets with pecans. Winter brings a snow day and spring brings a visit to their uncle's farm. Simple, lyrical text with beautiful watercolor illustrations make this a great choice for learning about the seasons. Reading this story would be a good introduction to an activity where children could describe their favorite season, with words and/or pictures.
