My Daylight Monsters is a YA Horror story about a teenage girl who is seeing visions following a tragic event. At her doctor's suggestion, Mary enters the psychiatric ward of a local hospital to help deal with her mental state. She befriends the others in the ward, including her roommate, Lacey.
As I read the book, I kept in mind my need to review it once it was finished. Until about 65% in I had almost decided on 3 stars. The story was slow going and I wasn't reading anything remotely scary. However, the climax and resolution of the story really hooked me and I could put my Kindle down. At the end I definitely wanted more.
I would love to know what happened to Mary after she was "confronted with death".
