Wild, Beautiful, and Free by Sophfronia Scott

Did not finish book. Stopped at 54%.
I grabbed this as a KindleUnlimited Read&Listen (audio included) ... it had high ratings. 1st person, past tense, realistic/historical. I thought the blurb sounded interesting, but it just wasn't grabbing me. The things (bad things) happening to the MC just didn't seem to bring out much emotion, or connection.  I got just over 50%, page 173, Chapter10 and decided it just wasn't clicking for me (and I only had a limited KU time left). So ... DNF.

The narration was fine - but not great. Much of the dialog didn't indicate who was saying it. Narration can sometimes help with that, if the narrator has distinct voices ... here, not so much. A lot of the time the voices seemed to shift, and I wasn't sure who was speaking.

On the audio - there were a few tiny quality issues I noticed. Just the stops and starts, which of course will happen during narration, but I think they are usually able to be edited out. Some people might not even notice, but I did.
