Casey McQuiston’s books are historically hit or miss for me and this was the first real hit since RWRB, but it was a HIT. There was a lot I was willing to overlook in this including even my least favorite romance conflict (miscommunication, and there was a LOT of it) because everything else was written exactly for me. The characters, the setting, the FOOD, the hookup contest, the “it was always you,” the bisexuality of it all. Not technically perfect, but perfect for me and that’s all that matters right now.
