Review summary: Tense and fast paced story about foxes and other animals. Exciting till the end, truly a fantastic fox. Had original elements, but most already existed in other books or media (example: Disney).

The story was tense till the very end. And I really wanted the foxes to live as I really like foxes and they just did what they needed to. That's what they still do today. They are predators who take their meal and not purchase it as they aren't humans. Buying is only a human invention. So why unalive the poor animals? Honestly, I think the three man went too far and also included all the other animals that lived there. But that's exactly why the story is so great as Mr. Fox is a fantastic fox. As he made a feast for all the other animals.

I only give it 3 stars as I didn't feel a certain 'flavour' in this story and seemed like many other stories I heard or watched when I was still a child. Perfect for a child, but not that original. The whole idea with building an underground is new to me, but that the humans try to unalive animals happens so often in Disney for example. If I would have a child I would read this story to my kid. It was great.
