Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
3.5
I would have rated this book much higher if the writing style was better. My biggest pet peeve in fiction is when an author writes an everyone-POV with extremely messy POV shifts. This entire book felt like a stream of consciousness combination of every character, in a way that was very hard to follow and overall made reading this book not very enjoyable. Despite that, I feel the story itself was very beautiful and poignant. I wish that the book had been written in a more cohesive way so that the story could have been enjoyed more.
Graphic: Death and Sexual assault
Minor: Suicide
