Unwind by Neal Shusterman
5.0

I loved this book so much! I really enjoyed the characters and the story line. I want to definitely read the whole series!

Spoiler A plan to control the population? I would never agree to a plan like this. Sign a document saying that it is okay for your child to be unwound? Parts of your child will be given to others that need them. We follow three journeys specifically throughout this book. Risa is a girl that lives in a state home. She finds out at school that she is going to be sent to be unwound because she chose to focus on piano at school and there are too many pianists. Connor is a boy that lives with his parents and sibling. He finds out that he is being unwound by looking through the house and finding the signed order. Then there is Lev who knew from a young age that he was going to be unwound because of his religion. I enjoyed all three of the focused characters. Lastly, the idea of storking really got to me in this book as well. How people just leave their newborns on others doorsteps really disturbed me.
