“No mourners. No funerals. Among them, it passed for 'good luck.”

The worldbuilding, plot and writing are all fantastic. The characters are amazingly written. All of them are different and that's exactly why I really enjoyed the multiple povs. I love found family trope and this makes me want to cry. Their dynamic was absolutely prefect and the relationships? I can't even describe how much I adore all of them.

“A gambler, a convict, a wayward son, a lost Grisha, a Suli girl who had become a killer, a boy from the Barrel who had become something worse.”

Kaz. At one point in his narrative, you get a sense of empathy for Kaz and begin to comprehend how or why he came to be the way he is now. He proves to us his superiority over his rivals, and if he runs out of plans, he manages and prepares new ones.

Inej. She has the ability to go unnoticed. Oh, how I admired this strong and composed girl. She was fantastic, and given her history, I had to truly respect her for her perseverance.

Jesper. A lighthearted and sarcastic sharpshooter, who indulges in gambling a little too much. He has a wonderful sense of humor, is spunky, confident and a highly dependable buddy.

Wylan. Due to being left alone for the majority of his childhood, he tends to be shy and awkward but eventually makes friends with the rest of the crew. I want to keep him safe from everything, including his arrogant father.

Nina. Dependable, truly self-assured, never afraid to express what she thinks, and unapologetic about who she is. And I love it. She is the inspiration. Mother is mothering y'all.

Matthias. He’s a huge brute and conscientious, he is actually such a sweet cinnamon roll. He overcame his own prejudice and genuinely unlearned years of internalized prejudice because of love. And I fully support that.

In conlusion, I love this book and characters so much, I can't even express it with words.
