I couldn't keep going. I'm all for a steamy romance - and a Christmas one is nice this time of year - but it loses appeal when you're being beaten over the head with the physical aspects of the romance. It was too much. Every train of thought seemed to detour in a naughty direction. There wasn't even any tension built up. Or if it was starting to build, the author cashed in on it immediately.
The title and summary were incredibly misleading. The full title is Cold Feet at Christmas: The Perfect Heartwarming and Cosy Christmas Romantic Comedy. While it starts around Christmas, it's lacking in Christmas spirit. And it moves on from the holiday rather quickly. I couldn't find the "comedy" part of what promised to be a romantic comedy.
It was also full of tons of clichés. Why was Rob constantly referred to as "God" and perfect and beautiful? Why was his method of dealing with the emotions of the opposite sex to go hide? Why did Leah have to start getting attached SO QUICKLY? It was all just tired and played out.
I read some reviews with spoilers and it sounds like I'd have a lot more to dislike if I had continued to read. So disappointing.
I would not recommend this.
