Oraya is the Hiaj heir to the Nightborn throne, and Raihn killed Vincent and partnered with Septimus (a Bloodborn) to take over as the Rishan heir to the Nightborn throne. Wow. A slow burn, vampire, forced proximity romantasy. Oraya competes in Keraji, a once in every 100 years tournament consisting of 5 trials where vampires compete to win a wish from the goddess/mother of vampires, where she meets Raihn. He helped Vincent overthrow the Nightborn throne (as a Turned by the Rishan Nightborn king at the time) 200 years ago, which he regretted once Vincent (a Hiaj) started killing all the Rishan. Raihn then chose to also compete in Hiaj. He partners with Oraya (Vincent’s daughter) because of his history with Vincent. He wasn’t meaning to fall in love with her, but he did. At the end of Keraji, he finally agrees to partner with the Bloodborn leader, allows Oraya to kill him, and Oraya wins. Her wish is that Raihn lived. Raihn then wishes for the power to kill Vincent. Oraya blames herself for her father’s death, and becomes his heir. To save her life, Raihn forces her into a marriage.
