Traitor by Matthew Stover
5.0
This book is what Dark Journey should have been for Jaina. It's an in-depth look at Jacen as a character and the incredible transformation he undergoes to become the next hero that this story needs. The descriptions are vivid and the plot is winding and intricate. Getting to know Vergere and Jacen more deeply is a treat. Vergere has always been an enigmatic and complex character, but I used to find Jacen boring and annoying. This gives him, and the reader, an incredibly deep understanding of the force, the story, and the Yuzhan Vong plot. This was the first book since the Edge of Victory pair that really had me turning the pages. It's a shame that Matthew Stover doesn't have more Star Wars books on my shelf. I plan to change that as soon as possible.
