In the Waning Light by Loreth Anne White

4.0

This book grabbed me from the start. Enjoyed the characters, the complicated dynamics, the tangled mystery, all wrapped up in White’s usual atmospheric writing. None of the cringe-y romance stuff I read from the last two books. I thought the second chance story here was pretty nice, and my heart went out to the struggles of the characters both individually and as a couple. Speaking of my heart— it nearly stopped at the ending! But White saved it, and it felt fairly plausible the way she did.
