I "read" as an audiobook. 100% reccomend consuming it in that format- lots of audio clips of them performing while in high school, singing lyrics while reading them. I don't think this book would be very interesting if you weren't a fan of there music or weren't intetested in stories discussing sexuality, growing up etc. 

I found it fairly easy to listen to, but it probabably wouldn't be for everyone. Lots of talk about love interests, teenage sexuality and drug use.
