CB is one of my fave authors now, this book was my least fave of hers but still great. It can be read as a stand-alone but it connects to Crowns of Nyaxia which I LOVED because I didn’t realize it till I started reading. I didn’t expect much from this story since it does stand-alone but I was pleasantly surprised. It took a bit to get into (which isn’t normally how CB’s books are) but once I was in it, i read like 200 pages in one sitting. I enjoyed it a lot but I hate the cover. I try to imagine Atrius differently lmao
