Legend by Marie Lu
5.0
Just to start off I should clarify that this book is the only one that I really enjoyed of the series.
Legend had me captivated after the first chapter and I honestly feel like it's safe for me to say that this first installment was flawless. The world building that Marie Lu was able to execute here was thorough and creative. There wasn't a single point when I was happy to put the book down.
June is easy to grow fond of with her rebellious yet clever attitude that is only brightened when her relationship with Day is introduced. The dynamic between the two is entertaining and it continuously left me curious as to how it would grow.
I found the following books in the series to be painfully frustrating and I came close to not finishing it. Despite this, I would still recommend anyone to at least read the first one and decide for yourself if the rest of the series is fit for you.
