So I chose this book because the cover was so cute and I was interested by the premise. Overall it was a cozy read with a bit of spice thrown in. I enjoyed the real timeline but struggled with the D&D fantasy plot a little bit. Not enough to not finish the book. But I was definitely more invested in Noah and Sadie’s storyline than Loren and Jaylies. The fantasy element was a little clunky for my taste. I’ve also never played D&D before so I may just not be familiar with that specific story telling style. Would recommend for people who enjoy role playing games and small town romance.
