I struggled to get through this book, but I have really enjoyed some of her other novels so I kept at it. The timing didn’t work, the flashbacks were too long (as in, there were too many), and the ending was so beyond disturbing and gross that I felt sick to my stomach. There were also unanswered questions and moments that just didn’t add up.
