The Wild Braid: A Poet Reflects on a Century in the Garden by Stanley Kunitz
4.0
Lovers of poetry and gardens will be enchanted by the words of one of America's finest poets. I especially appreciate this advice he gives to poets regarding revisions: "You must be very careful not to deprive the poem of its wild origin." He argues that this philosophy can also be applied when pruning plants in the garden. The book includes wonderful photographs of Stanley's Northeastern seaside garden along with one of his most powerful poems, "The Portrait."
