The Heir by Kiera Cass
Did not finish book. Stopped at 31%.
How do I explain this with out sounding mean, that's the question I kept asking myself. Honestly there's not really one straight answer for why I didn't consider continuing the series except for the fact that I got 122 pages in. That took me three months, I can finish an almost 800 page books in one day if I enjoy them.
It just shows how little interest I had in the series after the third book finished and the daughter became the main character. She was just to "oh, boo hoo me, I'll never fall in love and I don't like my parents alot or my siblings and I have no friends". Girl you ain't special, half the kigdoms in crisis and that's what you care about.
I personally enjoyed the writing of the first three books and flew through them and was so excited for the fourth and fifth. But was heavily disappointed 😞, not only by the characters but how the plot seemed un important and just like the same plot from the mother's story.
The book kind of reads like a wattpad novel, where the writter inserts themselves into the book and makes the character different from the 'other girls'. It's just a very average story from what I had read.
But the first three were very good and a super sweat fun and easy read that I could enjoy and fly through. But still had some drama and plot with out making the main chapters annoying and self centred, which is basically the fourth book.
