I read this in two days only because it was due and I was in a "plowing through" mentality. Also, I was dog-sitting and all she wanted to do was sit outside in the sun on a breezy hillside, which would be marvelously idyllic if I didn't have red-head skin.

I set aside playing Star-rail for this nonsense right here.

And when I was telling my friends about it, they had zero compassion. "Hannah, that sounds exactly like something you as an information professional, should have seen coming." 😠😠😠 But yes, fair 😅

So if you're interested in reading about lesbian vampires, or a weird teacher/student relationship thing (not like that, but also pretty much like that *yuck*) or if you are of the dom/sub persuasion, I guess you might enjoy this. I was tricked by a pretty cover and a marketing blurb that said something about dark academia vampires writing poetry, which I guess is what I got. I am disappointed, but I suspect my friends are right and I should have seen this coming. Not for me.

What really threw me off was the Stan Lee reference at the end?? I wasn't sure if I was making it up, but then the acknowledgements confirmed it soooo
🥴🥴🥴
