The Truth about Forever
by Sarah Dessen
I have read most of Dessen's other books, and I am never disappointed (at least so far). “The Truth About Forever” proved to be no exception.
With this one, however, it took a couple pages (40) to actually get into it. I think it was because this one took a little longer to get off the ground — it was well worth it to stick around though.
I always feel a connection to Dessen’s main characters. For each of her novels, she chooses a situation that teens deal with to tackle, be it abuse, death, eating disorder, etc. More often than not, a little bit — or a lot — of love is thrown in as well.
It’s not that I have even been in each situation that she writes about, but I am always sucked in. They are just so easy to relate to and likable. I find myself cheering for them as I race to finish the book. I usually read the last half of each book in one sitting.
Go pick up a Dessen right now. You won’t regret it!
