Bones by Andrew Cull

4.0

My introduction to Andrew Cull was his short story in the Human Monsters anthology, and though it didn't fall into my top 5, it was definitely one of the book's more memorable stories that I connected with. I wanted to check out more of his work, and his short story collection Bones just made sense.

With this collection, Cull doesn't have to limit himself to monsters of the human variety. The stories here all have an element of the supernatural. They're very well-written as expected, definitely living up to the promise of his offering in Human Monsters.

Cull just has a way with character building in a short amount of pages that instantly draw you into the stories. If I had to pick a favorite, "Hope and Walker" is at the top, but this is a solid collection showcasing Cull's ability.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Fear Nerd says, "Check it out!"
