Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder
4.0

This book is probably the most classic little house book, and for a good reason. Although—again—meant for children, this book provides excellent insight to the lives of a pioneer family building a home from ground up. Some of the talk of Indians was completely unwarranted and slightly racist, and although that is inexcusable, it was also the times. It is interesting to read it as I am older with a more mature and reflective lenses. My favorite chapter was probably the one in which they all got malaria.
