ladygodivas 's review for:
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
by C.S. Lewis
this book is so perfect to get rid of a reading slump cause it’s so straight to the point
there’s no beating around the bush
there’re no flowery words like in the series of unfortunate events
not so much world building like harry potter, BUT it gives us enough details and descriptions that we can still visualize the world of narnia
we’re spared from unnecessary details, like stuff are described in one sentence and then we focus on the plot again
i honestly love how easy this is to read
i totally forgot the ending to this book. i forgot they all grew up and became royalty and then got sent back to earth as young children. that’s so whimsical and fun!
this book was precious, i loved the adventure and the story and even though it was a little too on the nose with the religious references, i didn’t mind them.
can’t wait to move on to prince caspian and see my darling ben barnes again!
