The Kissing Booth
by Beth Reekles
This was the first romantic teen fiction I've ever read so I have nothing to compare it with.
Let me start with the first thing that pops into my head: the writing style was immature. I'm not from an English speaking country, but even I know that if you use word smirk a hundred times a chapter, it probably isn't the right thing to do.
I have to say that I love the theme of the book, but I felt like the last 10 chapters (out of 32) were completely useless. The plot has ended, everything was sorted out so just why add another boring details? Did the author need to fill some more pages to publish the book or what?
Anyway, if I ignore the last ten chapters and the repetition of words the book was pretty good. And come on the author is only seventeen!
But as I said this is my first romantic teen novel so this could be below average...
