So here is another book about a girl dying of cancer. I feel that morally I can't dislike a character who is dying of cancer, but Alice isn't dying of cancer so I can totally hate her.

This book follows Alice, who is diagnosed with cancer, and her best friend Harvey, who must deal with Alice. The book is separated between then and now, or when Alice has cancer and when she is in remission. During the cancer part of her life, Alice had come to terms with death and began righting all of the wrongs of her life. She counts on Harvey to help her complete her mission and also promises him her heart (kinda, but aww shucks, she's dying in a month). However, oh crap, she is no longer dying and must live with the ramifications of her vengeance. Plus she really doesn't want to deal with the whole emotional turmoil that she has created between Harvey and herself. The book wrestles with Alice's journey to come to terms with living (she hoped to get the easy way out with dying, but no such luck).

Alice is a jerk and Harvey is a wimp. The plot was interesting and a create twist on the cancer storyline that has been tossed around recently. I felt the sarcastic writing style was awesome and compelling. The characters weren't likable, but the author was. I would definitely try another book by this author.
