This was not a heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat thriller, but it was a pretty decent mystery with a sprinkling of romance thrown in. Both mains were realistic characters, both had easily believed strengths and flaws and the chemistry between them was hot. The bad guy was decently creepy, and the flashbacks revealed little bits of information just slowly enough that you never saw the twist coming. I LOVE when you get close to the end of a story and there's a moment that makes you go "WHOA!!" - that's what you'll get here. It word slapped me!!

The issue of PTSD was prevalent throughout, and I thought it was handled extremely well, very true to life. Loved that it wasn't just a throw-away issue, something the character overcomes with "just the love of a good woman". Instead it was shown how debilitating and destructive PTSD can be, and how it can completely take over someone's life.
