A beautifully tragic novel of self discovery and coming of age. The mirroring of childhood moments with those of the present really give this work such a strong leven of continuity. It keeps you engaged in such an authentic way, and has you growing to love the characters far more on page 150 than you would’ve thought at page 10. Heart wrenching, sadistic, complicated, but at the end of the day, so incredibly moving and beautiful.
