Gilda is floating through life in a fog. She’s clinically depressed and suffering from panic attacks. In desperate need of a job, she accidentally stumbled into one working as receptionist at a Catholic church (despite being a gay atheist).
This was a weird one. It’s not genre fiction but it’s not literary fiction. It’s deeply sad but darkly hilarious. The pace is rapid but nothing much happens.
Should’ve hired a Canadian narrator.
