The moment you go from calling a snake “venomous” to “poisonous” two pages apart, you lost me. Unfortunate that the degree specific knowledge did not shine through in the book. Could have been a really cool concept, very poorly executed, writing leaves a lot to be desired, almost none of the characters make you root for them, and the execution is so far fetched it takes a lot of “suspended belief” to get to the end.
