Mercy House
by Alena Dillon
A sweet story about forgiveness, compassion, and finding your true self.
I enjoyed this book, but I will say it was slow in the beginning. The insertion of the residents’ stories wasn’t smooth and I feel that could’ve been better.
It does leave a couple of loose ends, which I was wanting resolved. The author doesn’t tell us if Bishop Weasel is punished, nor if Mercy House will survive. Seeing as though the novel is focused on the survival of a Mercy House and Sister Evelyn’s attempts to save it, there should have been a definite yes or no to that storyline.
Overall, if you’ve got the time and you’re looking for an easy read, check this one out.
