Just... I cannot tell if I just read a r*pe scene or not and that scares me. There is dark romance and then there's this... I don't even know what to say. This book tries to be CNC, but the thing is with CNC it has to be done carefully otherwise it just reads as NC (r*pe), and this book did not handle it well. I cannot remember a bit of this book that felt like it was CNC.
Like Dark Romance is cutting off some guy's tongue cause they hurt their loved one, but this wasn't Dark Romance. This was just plain up stalking and r*pe, and I don't even care if Zade is some vigilante hacker who is taking down human trafficking and human sacrifices. Zade is a fucking creep.
I like... I can't believe I actually finished this book. I kept forgetting the actual 'plot' in this book because there is just so much monologue about either how much of a 'saviour' Zade is or about how Adaline is weirdly falling in love with her stalker.
