The Cheater's Guide to Love by Junot Díaz

4.0

I liked this. IDK how to explain why really.
A pretty damn good short story, the writing style reminded me of Sally Rooney a lot, in a good way. The protagonist felt kind of like a real person, and the writing style really reflected the story and his character.
This did the unlikable main character in a really good way because he wasn't just unlikable, he was an actual person as well, and you can understand and relate to him in a way. The way this was written (in the second person) was really interesting and in my opinion, enhanced the message and the character. I'm pretty sure this is the first thing I have read in the second person and it was an interesting experience.
Overall, I think this isn't for everyone but it's pretty good.
