3.5. I really enjoyed The Royal We, so it was fun to dive back into this world and revisit the unique, fun characters that Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan created. This sequel, however, felt like it got bogged down in circuitous arguments (e.g., unresolved feelings within the trifecta of Freddie, Bex, and Nick) and an onslaught of problems. It also didn't spend much time reminding the reader of what happened in the previous book; having read The Royal We almost four years ago, I felt a little lost. The bulk of this 500+ page book could have been trimmed or edited far better.
Nonetheless, it was still a fairly enjoyable read. I would definitely read a third book in the series if Cocks and Morgan wrote one.
