The book wasn't bad, but it wasn't as great as I had hoped. i loved the characters and dialogue, but something was missing. Things were missing from the plot. Originally, I thought Theia could cross into Under without being burned because she was only spiritually crossing into that realm. But then Haden goes saying that he didn't know why she didn't burn when she first went into his realm and then I was all confused. Haden was a bit too mushy and Theia was like every other chick who gets dumped in YA fiction. I was hoping Theia would be different and she'd be strong and trying to move on. Instead she tries to kill herself and that disappointed me because I really liked the characters that Hayes developed (I wasn't a huge fan of Haden, he was like every other leading male in YA fiction). I adored Donny, she was too funny and I loved her. Mike was like a nothing. He just wasted space and I had to agree when Donny and Theia were wondering why Ames was in love with him. Ame never really explains why, she just did, for some odd reason. I like her with Varnie much better. Anyway, this book wasn't a bad read, but it's not really something that I'd recommend. Maybe as a distraction.
