Fall into You by Roni Loren

3.0

After loving the previous books in this series, especially Jace's story in the last book (which I loved, btw, even though I don't normally enjoy "sharing" or menage storylines), I was slightly disappointed with this one. I was really looking forward to Grant's book after reading about him in previous stories, but I never felt a magical connection between Charli and him (and I hated, HATED his nickname for her, "Freckles"--every time I read it, it reminded me of a puppy instead of a sexy woman). I also didn't get why it was extremely difficult for him to tolerate her giving oral sex to another dom, however, that same dom performing oral sex on her seemed fine--just didn't really make sense to me. The suspenseful part of the storyline and exploration of Grant's tormented past were well written, but I felt they took up too much of the time that could have been spent on Grant and Charli experimenting with all the aspects of bdsm that Grant kept thinking he wanted to introduce Charli to. All in all, this was just meh to me, and I kept looking to see how many pages were left--a sure sign that I'm not totally captivated by a romance in a book. I usually thoroughly enjoy Roni Loren's writing--this one just slightly missed the mark for me.
