Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
5.0

I don't know how I went my entire adult life without knowing too much about this book, but I'm glad! I thoroughly enjoyed it and audibly gasped a few times! It was very easy to relate to our protagonist, known only as Mrs. de Winter once she got married. She was young and in love and out of her depths in that big house (and within her marriage), and I really felt for her throughout it all. I loved the writing style, too, and all the descriptions of Manderley. I'm so glad I finally got around to reading Rebecca and hope you will, too!
