Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen
by Christopher McDougall
This book exceeded my exceptions. I am not really a runner but wanted to learn more about superrunners so picked up this book. The books thesis is that we were all born to run and centralizes around the Tarahumara runners of Mexico. It also touches on darwinian theories of survival of the fittest, proper and healthy ways to run, and also boasts the science behind barefoot running. It was a great read throughout, highly inspiring and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good - semilight read!
