A Werewolf's Guide To Seducing a Vampire
by Sarah Hawley
I wanted a fluffy romance palette cleanser, and this one was perfect for that! This definitely felt in line with the other books in this series - unique and quirky characters, fantastical beings in a cozy small town, and an emphasis on social activism. This potentially problematic premise (a werewolf owning a crystal that traps a vampire succubus) actually ended up being pretty sweet - as both characters were aware of this power imbalance, worked to make sure the other felt safe, and had a fun dynamic that balanced each other. However, though there was a lot I appreciated about it on paper, I was also not that invested in the characters or the plot, plus there was more of an emphasis on spice than I prefer. 🫂👥🌧️
