A perfect example of “don’t judge a book by its cover” lol
Absolutely LOVED this one! I didn’t read the premise so I was pleasantly surprised that this was so much more than just roommates falling for each other. The way it focused so much on the sex worker industry and changing it for the better was super refreshing. A lot of romances I read still have backwards versions of sex, with the male gaze still in mind. It’s unsurprising but still disappointing. This went the COMPLETE opposite route which was lovely!
On top of all that the build between the two of them was perfectly paced. It was both a slow burn falling in love, but also plenty plenty smutty. Definitely not a book for the faint of heart, but also none of the sex felt forced like a lot of smutty books. Often after like the third sex scene I’m like ok but is there more to this?? This book absolutely wasn’t that! There was depth with the smut! Totally a fan.
If you’re a romance lover, I’d check this one out.
