So I didn't write a review after reading this book the first time because I wasn't on goodreads yet back then, however this experience rereading these books 2.5 years later has really showed me how much I have grown as a reader. There are so many more nuances that I recognized as important details that I probably wouldn't have even acknowledged or recognized as important at the time. Obviously it helps that I've read the series before so I can pin point important things easier now, but still.

Everyone raves about how amazing ACOMAF is, and they're not wrong, however this book is a fucking masterpiece. There is so much action, so much political movement, the character development and growth is amazing. We get more Velaris, and we truly get to know each of the High Lords so much better and learn a lot more about each of their courts. There are some twists and turns and absolute utter devastation but in the best way. In typical SJM fashion, she is going to make us suffer, but we're going to be happy about it.

I also loved that the character development wasn't restricted to just Rhys and Feyre, we had so much impactful growth from Mor, Nesta, etc.

Anyway, I loved this book and *this* read though, I would say I liked it even better than ACOMAF. (probably an unpopular opinion but whatever lol)
