I was pleasantly surprised by this superhero origin story! Themiscyra comes alive in the beautiful descriptions and we learn about Diana’s experience as a young woman. Some of the women on the island love her, while others look down on her. But she has the choice to save someone - Alia - and she takes that chance, knowing it may be the end of the world.

I love the mythology, the relationships, and the twists.
