📖This adult romance book features a plus size con woman (Harmony) and a nerdy librarian autistic man (Preston) whose love story is unexpected and adorable. 💕 I buddy read this with Torrie and we both thought the autistic rep was well done (the author is autistic so this is an #ownvoices book).
I was a little hesitant of the con woman trope but it was well done and not too cheesy or unrealistic. Both characters were authentic and felt real. There is one scene where Preston is advocating for his autistic sister who he is the guardian of and it was very spot on - in terms of neurotypical society refusing to make accommodations for autistics.
What I really appreciated in the representation was how the autistic qualities about Preston (his attention to detail, focus, authenticity, and sense responsibility and social justice) were precisely why Harmony fell for him. We need more books with this positive autistic representation and I thought this was a super cute read. 🥰
