4 stars. I managed to blow through this book in a few hours, that’s how good it was. Also, it’s incredibly short so that helped too I guess. Where the first book was over 300 pages, this one is less than 300 and it goes by really quickly. It takes place after Padmé becomes Amidala, the Queen of Naboo and then it pretty much turns into Episode I: The Phantom Menace but from her p.o.v. obviously. We see Jar Jar Binks (ughhh), Qui-Gon Jin and a tiny little Anakin Skywalker but it was very well done and interesting. I really enjoy these books and I hope Johnston continues on with them because I’m loving what she’s doing with Padmé’s character and this world, they are very entertaining reads.
