I wanted to like this book so much more than I do (which is disappointing af cause I bought the audiobook and I'll literally never listen to it again)
Anyways, this book was cute. I loved Tripp (even though he was riding the fantasy line super hard aka NO ONE ACTS LIKE THAT). I even liked Magnolia and didn't find her to be overly annoying.
However, that doesn't excuse the absolute massive amount of bullshit filler we have in this book. We get 2 full smut scenes, 200 pages of romance, and 200 pages of FILLER!! I was groaning every time she turned on the damn TV!! I HAD TO READ ABOUT A MADE UP CHARACTERS REACTION TO TWO DIFFERENT MOVIES!! WHY?! LITERALLY WHY??? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Not to mention the very passionate opinions of the movie The Parent Trap and the show Heart of Dixie.
Hope you guys have watched the movie Ghost and My Girl cause you literally get play by plays of the movies.
It was so infuriating to be wasting time READING ABOUT TV AND MOVIE PLOTS!
Then you get the set up for the next book (which I'm not sad about cause Landon is perfect) and a side plot of a horse passing away... and the horse was Landons horse so it was more focused on Landon then Tripp.. idk I feel like the author got distracted by the side characters a lot. I could basically tell you everything that happened in book one without reading it.
TL;DR : lots of filler. You should be prepared to skim a lot.
