My first read by Cherry and definitely not my last! This book had it ALL!!!! A broken hero suffering from some extremely crippling mental health issues, a heroine single mom, side characters that you wished were in your circle and some who you wished you could remove from the earth *cough* Emery’s parents *cough*.
The slow burn of this romance was worth the wait! It was perfectly timed for the way the MC’s relationship was evolving and even though there were minimal bedroom scenes, you barely noticed!
This book was heavy on the emotional aspect and had me tore up more times than not.
I don’t usually enjoy young children with dialogue in romance books, but Reese was written exquisitely and had me laughing out loud so many times! The dynamic between her and Oliver was the best sparing ever! Warmed my heart and made me laugh!
This book was an easy 5 star rating for me. It encompassed everything I love about contemporary romance books!
