thoughts: didn’t hit quite as hard as WWL but HOLY FUCK was it good, fast paced and so much happened! e. lockhart made me hope for a genuinely bad person because they were also a genuinely good person and it was so crazy, truly hit the “unreliable narrator” perfectly, i almost don’t trust anything that happened in the book after finishing it, it almost feels like it was all truthful and all a lie at the same time, truly loved this book. a great prequel to WWL and still contains the “teens commit a crime together”, just not as potent and it’s harder to feel that Carrie is as much of a victim as Cady. Wow though. Wow.
