Floodland by Marcus Sedgwick

The characters weren't really human enough for me to connect to, they seemed more like cardboard cut outs than people. The setting was a cool idea but not utilised enough or explored in a properly meaningful way. The story was also pretty boring.
I have no idea why they picked this of all things to analyse in school.
I was pretty harsh but I genuinely feel nothing towards this book other than a vague distaste. Maybe its just me but I wouldn't recommend it.
