Patterson is crap. I mean, he is really bad! The only parts in his books when I can derive some sort of satisfaction is when I realize that I shouldn't be comparing him to other authors (Pearson, Crais, King, Harris); he must be held to a standard that is, almost, unfathomably low. The last quarter of this book doesn't even make since! Contrarily, nothing made since. I have as much beef with Patterson as I do his editor. Rather than squashing the beef James, I think its time just went our separate ways.
