Oh my god!! This sequel is the best!
I had no idea where the plot was going after the first book ended on a cliffhanger, but it brought on more drama and plot twists. More details are discovered about Fable’s family history and about the crew on Marigold.

Saint surprised me and I think he is one of the most wholesome characters I’ve read so far. He is deep and he feels everything in a very intense way. His grief for Isolde is eating him up, his love for his daughter made him push her away and keep her a secret so no one could use her against him or hurt her. His trust is very hard to get and his vengeance is even worse.
He is smart and cunning.

By the end of the book I was so happy I was going home, otherwise I would have grabbed my phone instantly and called my dad to tell him I love him.

The first impression is that the mother-daughter relationship between Isolde and Fable is what shaped Fable. But by the end of this book you’ll see how much of Saint there is in Fable and how much love there is between them.

I liked the love interest and their relationship but nothing tops a father-daughter story for me.
